In order to get to the Santa Teresa/Mal Pais area, the fastest way was by small plane. I am not sure that everyone from our party had been on a small plane before. After a bumpy, but very scenic flight, we landed at a small strip right off the beach. 2 huge iguanas had to scurry off the runway before we landed. The Tambor 'airport' was a little less of an airport than I had imagined. But the flight was a great way of seeing some Costa Rica's scenery.
