We made it to our first hotel, Hotel El Silencio del Campo near Arenal, after dark on our first night in Costa Rica, so it was tough to apprciate its true beauty until morning. With the volcano as its background, this hotel is stunning. It is so well manicured and the hotel staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and at home. The food was great and we really like having our own hot springs on the grounds to relax after our busy days. It was a great little place to welcome us to Costa Rica.
