The last place on the tour was Stirling Castle. The bridge here was the place of the battles inaccurately shown in Braveheart, which was not a nickname of William Wallace, but Robert the Bruce. Maybe the tour guide would be proud that I was paying attention. It was also another Royal Residence and knee deep in history and battlegrounds.

Overall, the Scotland trip was outstanding. We had a hunch that we might enjoy it, but we probably enjoyed it as much as any of the trips we have been on. Hopefully we will visit some of the additional countryside, especially above the central belt, in the years to come.
