On the Friday morning before the wedding, some of us decided to go over to the Rainsong Wildlife Sanctuary and hospital. We hoped to see some of the animals that you just can't see in the wild down there. Rainsong is a volunteer based organization that deals with animals that are hurt or abandoned by the owners. They try their best to reintroduce the animals they can back into the wild. One of our unimaginable goals when we left was to see some of Costa Rica's cats. Well this place provided the opportunity to see a margay that was hit by a car. He was adorable. We also were able to see some baby howler monkeys whose mom was killed by power lines, a mischievous little capuchin that had been freed by its owner and subsequently lost an arm, and a precious little anteater. I could easily see us back here one day volunteering for awhile.
